The company which is a creation of Stephen Shepherd is supported by 15 years of experience from many design disciplines.
Sorbrook is now here to serve those who are keen to ensure their brand is consistent and recognisable to their clients. The name Sorbrook comes from the local running stream which can be found to the west of Banbury, North Oxfordshire.
history
After studying technical and general illustration at Mid Warwickshire college the mid 90′s was the starting point of Stephen Shepherd’s experience as a designer. Undertaking various freelance projects whilst working as an administrator within a corporate company eventually opened the doors towards a varied career in design.
In the early days design was mainly focused on exhibitions and vehicle livery though due to the teachings of a master sign writer the elements of typography, white space and branding came to the forefront. The company Shepdesign was created in 2002 as Stephen’s 1st business start up and ran up until 2006 when Stephen’s skills were required within a corporate company again. This laid the foundations for the web design expertise due to the opportunities offered by the company. 2011 now sees the birth of Sorbrook…

Sorbrook experience timeline:
- 1992 to 1994 – Study of Technical and General illustration
- 1994 to 1999 – Freelance graphic design and layout
- 1999 to 2002 – Exhibition, graphic design and illustration
- 2002 to 2006 – Corporate, graphic and webdesign
- 2006 to 2009 – Front end webdesign, sharepoint webpart design, exhibition and corporate identity
- 2009 to 2011 – Corporate identity, wide format print and webdesign
- 2011 to present – Full Holistic Brand Design, webdesign, exhibition design, social network integration & design for print
Sorbrook is conversant with today’s industry standard software for design and we are constantly making ourselves aware of new emerging technologies.
In some cases we need to use our skills across a wide range of technologies to truly create consistent brand design and corporate identity. This is where our further knowledge of other software comes into play.
